Derivatives

Closed profit and loss on USDT and USDC contracts.

Earn

Easy Earn records from the order history export.

Transfers

Deposits, withdrawals and funding entries from the transaction log.

Not imported yet

  • Options trade and delivery history, which Bybit offers as its own record type.
  • The Account Statement. It is a PDF, and only CSV and Excel files can be imported.

Before you start

Bybit account

You need access to Data Export on the Bybit website. It is not in the app.

CryptoKar account

Free to create. You can import and see your tax calculation before you pay for a report.

Part 1

Download your report from Bybit

Export both the Transaction Log and the Order History. Both come out as CSV. The third option, Account Statement, is a PDF and cannot be imported.

  • One export covers 12 months at most. Export year by year and upload all the files together.
  • Exports take 1 to 3 days to generate, and the download link is only good for 7 days after that.
  • Bybit's self-export starts from 1 January 2022. Anything older has to come from Bybit support.
  • Data Export is not available in the Bybit app. Use the website.

This registers the asset flows in your account: balance changes, funding, deposits and withdrawals.

  1. Step 1: Open Data Export

Log in to Bybit on the website, hover over Profile, then go to Account, then Data Export. You can also reach it from Assets, Funding Account, History, Data Export.

  2. Step 2: Choose Transaction Log

Select Transaction Log as the data type, and pick your main account.

  3. Step 3: Select the records

Tick Account Change Details and Funding Records, plus Deposit and Withdrawal History.

  4. Step 4: Set the time range

Choose Customize and enter a 12-month range, for example 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

  5. Step 5: Export and download

Click Export Now. When the status turns to Exported, click Download. Repeat for each year.

Bybit's own instructions

Exchanges rename menus from time to time. If a step here does not match what you see, check the source.

Part 2

Import into CryptoKar

Upload the file exactly as you downloaded it: your Bybit Transaction Log and Order History CSVs for each 12-month period. Files for all your years can go in together.
  1. Step 1: Open Integrations

Sign in to CryptoKar and click Integrations in the sidebar.

  2. Step 2: Pick your exchange

Search for it in the integrations list and open its upload page.

  3. Step 3: Add your files

Drag the files in or browse for them. You can select files for all your years at once.

  4. Step 4: Click Parse & Import

CryptoKar reads the files in your browser and adds the transactions to your account.

  5. Step 5: Check your transactions

Open Transactions to see what came in. Anything CryptoKar could not price is marked there.

  6. Step 6: View your tax calculation

Open Reports for your crypto gains, TDS and Schedule VDA rows for the year.

Done. Your Bybit transactions are in your account, matched with FIFO, and your gains and TDS are ready on the Reports page.

Things to know

  • Bybit reports in USDT and USDC. CryptoKar converts each transaction using the rate for that date.
  • Self-export only goes back to 1 January 2022. For anything earlier, ask Bybit support for the records and import them once you have them.
  • Bybit allows 50 exports a month across all data types, and a day's transactions become available the next day.
  • Coins you moved in from another platform have no buy price in these files. Import that exchange too and the gap fills in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions people ask before their first Bybit import.

Two CSVs per year: the Transaction Log and the Order History. The Account Statement is a PDF and cannot be imported, so skip it.

Bybit takes 1 to 3 days to build a Transaction Log or Order History file, depending on the range. You get an email when it is ready, and the link stays live for 7 days.

No. Bybit caps each export at 12 months, so export year by year and upload all the files at once.

Not yet. Bybit exports options trade and delivery history as its own record type, and CryptoKar does not read it. Spot, derivatives, Easy Earn and transfers all import normally.

No. Data Export is only on the Bybit website.

Troubleshooting

Only spot trades came in
A product was left unticked in the Order History export, so its records were never in the file. Export again with every product you used selected.
The export has not appeared yet
Bybit takes 1 to 3 days. When the status turns to Exported, download the file. The link expires after 7 days.
Trades from before 2022 are missing
Bybit's self-export starts at 1 January 2022. Ask Bybit support for the older records and import them once you have them.
Nothing imported and no error appeared
The file was probably a record type CryptoKar does not read yet, such as options. Check the Transaction Log and Order History exports are the ones you uploaded.
